Since Superman can travel into outer space, without a ship, why did his father put him in a ship to send him to earth!? Was it just because he was a baby!? He had super powers then too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, don't forget, he didn't have his supe rpowers YET!.!.!.! While he was still in the environment of Krypton, he was still mortal!. So he couldn't just wait for the explosion to throw him away from the planet, he would have been killed!. That's what Jor El was trying to prevent!. Once the space ship left the solar system of Kryptno, with its red sun and entered a solar system with a yellow sun the baby bvegan to develop super powers!. (But, according to the John Byrne revamp since Crisis on Infinite Earths, Clark didn't develop his full super powers until he was about 18, so no more Superbaby!.) Oh, well!.
