The hulk was gray in the original print of the very first issue(due to printing ease or something i believe), in subsequent reprints he was green and from then on he was the green hulk!. However as an homage to the original colour, there was an incarnation of the hulk known as "Gray Hulk" or "Mr fixit" who was not as strong as the green(savage) hulk however maintained alot more wit and knowledge than green hulk!. There have also been many other incarnations of the hulk!. But the big green is the most common and well knownWww@Enter-QA@Com
well in the original prints almost all the comic books are drifferent just like in the cartoon the simpsons when it first aired the chef polices hair was blak now it is blue, the other police lou was yelow and now he has dark skinand like ind ironmanhe first was all ugly his armor looked like a cloth suit!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Actually the new comics have him in a greenish gray, you might be referring to the Ultimates series where he went berserk and he was gray in that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
