im gonna try to make this short with this options < 1!. he wants to kill him with full power by growing hatred in his heart and make him seek power 2!. make him just like himself full of hatred for others specially for his friends to even kill them if he wants to get that eyepower > its hard to say that he let him go because he love him !. because we dident see any love in itachi < he killed his best friend to have that eyepower and his beloved family >Www@Enter-QA@Com
In the manga this has already came up!.!.Itachi didn't kill Sasuke since he was innocent from the crimes that the other Uchihas were going to commit!. Itachi was protecting Sasuke from being an outcast because his family was going to rebel!.
