No one compares pirates to ninjas, they talk about the war between pirates and ninjas!. also it has nothing to do with Naruto or Pirates of the Caribbean, it has been around long than both!. It comes from online pirating, which was seen as the new cool fad a while back!. Someone compared it to ninjas, it ended up on tshirts and bumper stickers and just got huge!. The Internet tends to spread random things like that!.

*shrugs* I don't really get it either!. I always thought they got that from Naruto and Pirates of the Carribean!. Just because they were both popular (and still are) around the same time!. Or because they both have mythical qualities!.
