One of my favorites is Karen Kono (His and Her Circumstances) it is so sad!
Heres a small summary:
Its about this girl!.!.who acts fake around everyone else!. She studies all day and night, and puts on this fake act just so she can get complimented!. But once she transferes into a highschool she meets this boy!.!.whos BETTER than her!. This girl can't belive it!.!.so she does whatever she can to beat him!.!.allthough she falls in love with him!. They become a couple and once they do things begin to stand in there way!.!.
Its one of the best romantic anime's I've seen! And It's very sad at some parts!.!.heres a info page on it if you want some more information:

Midori Days- awsome but some what unrealistic you'll see!.!.!.
Fushigi Yugi- Not too bad about going into another world
Saiunkoku Monogatari- Not much romance okay!.!.!.!.
Ranma 1/2- My favorite anime of all but you choose
Peach Girl- makes me want to hit Sai in the face
Good witch of the west- not much I don't think
Fruits Basket- More fun then romance
Fullmoon- Some romance and about singing
