Question: Is Utada Hikaru the only J-Pop person you Anime Fans listen to besides other Anime OPs etc!?
I think you know what I mean, because apparently no one really knows who Koda Kumi is, and she is or was pretty popular!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The thing is, Utada Hikaru drives a lot of English speaking anime fans because she sings in English!. A lot of the "J-Pop Queens" as they're called only sing in Japanese or another language other than English!. I've heard Ayumi Hamasaki speak in broken English, and she hasn't yet released an English album!. I'm not at all familiar with Koda Kumi, BoA, or Nami Amura (I just know they're huge), but I believe they don't sing in English either!.
Utada brings about a different sound!. She also got acclaimed fame from a very anime-like video game, Kingdom Hearts!. From what I understand, a LOOOOT of anime fans are into it!. Utada does the openings for both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 in English and in Japanese, which made her kick off her English fame!.
Another thing to note is that she sang the opening for one of the Evangeleon movies!. Eva is def a HUGE anime!.
But I think that the fact that she spans into English is what makes her famous among anime lovers!. I think most Japanese anime lovers know who all the J-pop Queens are, but the English speaking ones, not so much!. Okay, I personally don't like Utada Hikaru other than Passion!. Same with Ayumi Hamasaki!.!.!. I actually only like a handful of female singers!. I have this thing against high sounds!.!.!.

Not all jpop, but still!.

Ooh! Koda Kumi! I like her! And I've listened to Yoko Ishida!. I bought her CD at Suncoast three years ago!. Morning Musume, even though I don't know of any anime songs they've done, is also a good girl group!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
