Pokemon the movie 2000?!
Question: Pokemon the movie 2000!?
I was watchig the movie and heard this part,
"Disturb not the harmony of Fire, Ice, or Lightning, lest these Titans wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash!.
Though the water's Great Guardian shall arise to quell the fighting, alone its song will fail!. Thus the Earth shall turn to ash!.
O, Chosen One, into thine hands bring together all three!. Their treasures combined, tame the beast of the sea!."
This got me thinking!.!.!.
The world will turn to Ash!?
As in look to him for help!?
How would this work in the Japanese version!?
Since Ash's name is Satoshi!.!.!.!?
Was it not even in the Japanese version of the movie!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
There was a Japanese version, it was presented in theaters way before U!.S!. did!.
To answer your question, you have to remember that dubbed anime aren't always "Word for Word", and tend to change the subject of matters a bit in order to make kids understand better!.
Pokemon in Japan is directed towards mature kids because the regular Japanese show has several swears in it!. As to when they dub it, they have to exclude the swears because it's being dubbed for kids!.
The part where they say "The world will turn to Ash!." could easily be translated back into something like "The world will be destroyed!." or whatever!.
The name Satoshi means "wise" or "quick reacting" in Japan!. And maybe the prophecy in the original Japanese version wanted someone wise that would save the world as fast as possible!.!.!.
also, not to mention that Ash-Satoshi is the main character!.
I haven't seen the actual Japanese movie of Pokemon: 2000 yet, but this is the best I can clear things up on what might of said!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
