The manga hasn't ended, it's currently ongoing in Japan!. IIRC, the latest tankoubon in Japan is Volume 12, and the English version of Volume 11 is slated to come out later this year!.
The last two episodes of the anime weren't exactly faithful to the manga!. The story arc dealing with Eclair and Tamaki disbanding the Host Club was probably created to give the anime a sense of closure, but they didn't happen in the manga!.
The last episode that stayed true to the manga is Episode 24!. A lot has happened since that episode, but I'll try to give you a brief summary highlighting the most important events that have happened since then!.
**Big spoilers ahead**
A visit from a princess of another country makes Tamaki realize that he wants to kiss Haruhi!. Mistaking his feelings as perversion and hiding behind illness, Tamaki finally resolves his feelings in his delusional fatherly way once more!. He does give her a kiss on the forehead, though he later forgets!. As Tamaki and Haruhi seem to grow closer, the twins become more aware of their own feelings toward Haruhi and the conflicting feelings of jealousy and gratitude that they feel toward Tamaki!.
Kaoru finally admits to Honey sempai that he does like Haruhi!.
There's also a big school athletics competition that takes place in Volume 11 pitting Tamaki against his number 2, Kyoya!. Lots of antics and comic moments ensue as the competition plays out!.
After the athletics arc, Kaoro, in a roundabout way, admits his true feelings to Haruhi, who takes her on a date!. Haruhi, meanwhile, still remains somewhat clueless of Kaoru's feelings despite the confession!. He also bows out of the competition to chase after Haruhi, vowing to help his twin grow up and win Haruhi!.
Meanwhile, Haruhi finally gets to understanding that she DOES like Tamaki!. There's a hilarious chapter where she goes to a bookstore and picks up a shoujo manga to confirm the reality of her feelings!. She imagines herself and Tamaki as a couple in the situations of the other couples in those shoujos!. Since she's come to this realization, she finds it hard to be around Tamaki without it being somewhat akward!. The twins of course, take notice - especially Hikaru!.
Their school plans a ski trip, but Hikaru (who also realizes his own feelings for Haruhi) asks Tamaki to not attend!. Tamaki, being the clueless fellow, respects Hikaru's wishes and doesn't go!. The rest of the Host Club debate on whether they should intervene in this ongoing love triangle, but have decided to stay out of it so far!.
The biggest cliffhanger from the last chapter has Hikaru admitting to Haruhi that he likes her!. Now we get to wait and see what she says in this newest chapter this month!.
There's also a lot of pyschology that deals with the twins and their relationship, as well as Kyoya's search for Tamaki's mother in France that I left out!. But I tried to be brief ^_^

According to my daughter, the manga will go on for a while!. Book 11 doesn't come out until Novembr 2008!. She hasn't seen the DVDs yet, but she wants them!. They're out in Japanese, in Little Toyko, Calif!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
