Detective Comics #27 was, I believe, the first showcase of The Batman!. The original comics were just shorts about random characters who never achieved much fame, and The Batman was their first major hit!. As in the case of the first Superman, that was "Action Comics" #1!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because Batman first apeared in #27!. This makes it more in demand than just about any other comic!. High demand=High price!. It's that simple, same with Amazing Fantasy 15 (first Spider-man!.) Very few people would even recognize any of the characters from Detective Comics 1-26!. Everyone knows Batman!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
