Do I need education surrounding art stuff to become a comic artist/writer?!

Question: Do I need education surrounding art stuff to become a comic artist/writer!?
Answers:
Most definitely!. First off, it's very hard to find a job as a comic artist/writer, you need something to fall back on!. I'm sure you've heard that!.

But as for how to apply it to your skills: A college education expands your repetoire, and it will help you be able to come up with more material!. It can only better what you can already do!. Especially comic artists, it isn't enough to be able to draw and write, you also need to be able to come up with good material to sell your products, which includes an expanded knowledge about many different things!.

Get a Bachelor's at least!. And, especially if you're young, you never know; I'm in college now, and I can't tell you how many people (more than half) have changed their majors from what they thought they wanted to do as freshman!.

There's also a chance that you'll find that even though you're good at illustrating comics and enjoy it, the pleasure you get from it is positively diminished once your paycheck depends on it!. I found this with writing!. I enjoy creative writing, and I write a lot!. But once it's an obligation and no longer a hobby, it's a burden!. Some people don't have that problem, their job is their hobby, and they love it!. Others, like me, don't get any enjoyment out of it because they know that they HAVE to do it if they want to eat, and it's never fun to have to do something!Www@Enter-QA@Com
