Earth 616?!
Question: Earth 616!?
Ok, I'm pretty well versed in the Ultimate Marvel Continuity!. But, with the more recent Marvel events like Civil War, One More Day, and the new series, Invincible Iron Man, I was wondering if I should get a good understanding of their universe!. What do ya think!? Should I read both universes, or just with Ultimate Marvel!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you've never read any of the regular Marvel Universe than I'd probably just stay with the Ultimate line!. While the regular one does have some good titles, right now would be a bad jumping on point!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I sort of agree with the second answer!. I think Marvel started to go downhill once they brought in all these alternate universes!.
That was around the time that DC got rid of all their alternate Earths (Earth 1, Earth 2, etc!.) It's almost like Marvel said, "Now that we don't have to worry about getting sued by DC, we can use them ourselves!"
But (as Marvel is rapidly finding out, to their great regret) they are starting to have all the continuity problems that made DC want to get rid of their parallel universes!.
That may not bother them!. They may nor care wether there is continuity form one title to the next, or from one issue to the next!. But for readers who appreciate it, they will find themslves losing popularity!.
I gave up on marvel a while back!. I'd just stick with the ultimates, if I were you!. I don't like them very much, but they're less confusing than all the inconsistent changes that are going on!.

Ultimate is designed so that no understanding of the regular Marvel (616) universe is required!. However, there are occasional in-jokes that pop up now and then that you'll only get if you know a bit about 616!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
