Perhaps, and this is just my opinion don't take it, but the hormones are kicking in, people are trying to get together because they either:
A!. Don't really know the person but know what they like
B!. Know the person and are in real life a "packaged deal"
C!. Spring fever!. If you ever saw Bambi, you'll know what I mean!.
