You can search for a specific Pokemon species, and they usually tell you from where the name originates!.
Some could argue that Pokemon such as 'Ninetales' are named after demons (the nine-tailed fox demon of Japanese folklore), but Pokemon is, in no way, a bad influence to one's child!. The TV show usually has good lessons to be learned and the games teach strategy and improve logic!.

I heard this a lot!. My little brother has played Pokemon cards since he was around 6 years old!. He has competed in tournaments in CA, Mexico and Texas!. ( He has only gone cause we have family in those areas!.) He has won 2 school scholarships and hes only 12!. Those Pokemon cards might end up paying his college/university!. I'm not sure the name of the sight he goes too, you should try Pokemon!.com!. I'll try to find out the one he uses, you should also be able to get information from any Cards and Comics shop!.
In my option, Demons and Magic is considered wrong!. But Cinderellas Fairy godmother uses magic, so why is that okay!. As long as your sister know wrong from right, they should be okay!. And anyways, the Pokemon characters are cute!.

That was a rumor made up because kids liked Pokemon a lot and some were getting seasurzes in japan a long time ago from watching it to much!. Ignorant people began to say that it was evil!.
