Answers:
Because Japanese manga and anime from the beginning were influenced by Western cartoons, particularly those of Disney!. (Osamu Tezuka once admitted to having watched Bambi some 80 times!.) also, anime characters tend to have large, expressive eyes because the Japanese see that as a symbol of innocence and sincerity!. This tends more than anything to make the characters European-looking!. Therefore, even characters intended to be Japanese will look Western!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Japanese artists believe that white western people are more attractive physically as far as i can remember

I think they do look like Asian people though, not necessarily the eyes, but their general appearance is very East Asian!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well in some anime the characters aren't Japanese or are to be from Japan!. (Like in Pokemon or Bleach)
Maybe the Artists just seem they want to change style!. (Correct they don't look Asian,in some you can probably notice)

The reason is because 1!. Most japanese dye their hair differnt colors!. If you went to Japan most Asians dye their hair red, blues, pinks, really bright festival style!. Their skin color is basically white because its easier to animate and their physical appearances is all about the manga artist/animators drawing/film style!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

'Cause anime characters have big eyes, big mouth, big smile, crazy natural hair colour, and all those sorts of stuff impossible to be in real life!. I'll tell you one thing though, Asian does a pretty good job cosplaying the anime characters, such as Sango from Inuyasha, or the Death Note live movie cosplaying Kira and L!.

It’s like you’re saying anime characters looks Caucasian, Arabic, or African!. Why do you think that!? Anime eyes are still larger than the Caucasian, Arabic or African eyes!. They don’t have pointed hairs!. Their hairs are black, brown, blonde and orange but anime hairs are of many other colors like blue, pink and yellow!.
