I have three, but I'd have to choose Elfen Lied!.
Why!? It has EVERYTHING I'd want in an anime!.!.!.
Romance, action, blood/gore, cute romantic scenes, young love, cute anime girls (I'm no pervert! Nana, and young Lucy are just cute!), mystery, horror-I'll admit some parts scared me!.
And most of all, things you wouldn't expect to happen "did" happen!.

it starts off slow, like most animes do, but its so so sad!! its one of those animes that make you think afterward!.!.!. I also like it because of the many types of love it explores!. Im not talking about yaoi or yuri-- I mean it talks about love between sisters, between parents and children, between best friends, and, of course, bewteen two people who secretly love each other!. it also deals with angels, which I am obsessed with, there are a few episodes that go on in feudal japan, which I am also obsessed with, AND there are a few sword fights!. Its also big on reincarnation and rebirth, which is really cool!.
All in all, its a real tear jerker, and I really love it!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think this anime has a perfect balance between action and romance ^^ One of the greatest drama anime I've seen!.
