Question: How exactly does Ichigo's bankai work!?
Answers:
ichis bankai is!.!.!.awesome but is only a compression of his power!. The compressed power enables Ichigo to move at speeds exceeding those of flash steps, and gives him matching movements and reflexes, allowing him to use his natural strength to its limits :D his viasard mode is more awesome though!. it is so powerful!. my avatar is ichi in his viazard mode :D my fave thing about ichi good thing that hollow ichi is gone

edit: Brady i do read the blech manga!.!.!.hollow ichi is gone!. after episode 124 i think!.if i remember right!. why do u think ichi is able to go into his viazard mode!. his hollow mode and viasard are two different things!. hollow ichi is gone but if ur watching the dub hes not yet!.
edit2: i knwo i watch the subbed and the dubbed and read the manga lol triple tasking O_o!. that was good!. hollow ichi just owned byakuya all over the place!. byakuya couldnt take it lol xD i cant wait till 62 get dubbed and the new subbed episode comes outWww@Enter-QA@Com

ichigo's bankai is a bankai to maximise speed!.!.!.its not made for power, and this is why he has such a small sword for a bankai sword!.

well the bankai works by releasing the secind stage of the swored(im sorry i cant spell the name)
but hollow ichigo is the one that gives it its power seince he overpowered the other spirit

Well unlike the other bankai's,Ichigo's is different!. Well to start Ichigo's bankai is called Ten Sa Zan Getsu (Heavenly Chain Cutting The Moon) Zangetsu turns pure black and is much smaller and sleeker than its shi-kai state, it looks very much like a normal zanpakutou!. Though it looks normal all the abilities from Ichigo's Ban-Kai are compressed into the small blade and it's highest ability is super-human speed!. Ichigo's appearance also changes from normal shinigami garmants to a sleek black outfit with a black tattered cape, much like Zangetsu's outfit!.
