A question for fans of Batman comics?!

Question: A question for fans of Batman comics!?
I'd like to know the plot to issue #448, and if there's any gore or not!. I like watching Batman movies and the animated series but I've never read a comic book!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
The Penguin has escaped from incarceration, and with the help of Harold - a mute hunchback with great technological flair - has learnt how to control birds!. He uses them to stage robberies and cause a blackout, and then moves on to his true goal!. He uses the birds to kidnap Sherry West, an actress who plays a ruthless character called Heron in a daytime drama, and bring her to his lair!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That was 200 months ago!. If you like Violence on Batman Try The Dark Knight Returns or the Killing Joke, But there are too many comic books and I can't remember an specific plot!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like "Knight Fall" myself, but you could also read on Bruces' son, I forget his name, that's also a good story and plot!. also, try the "Hush" series too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Are you sure that's the right issue!? That issue was from eighteen years ago!.

Anyway, Batman, like most other mainstream DC books, tends to not have any real gore!. Blood, sure!.!.!. but not the gore you would find in a Vertigo book!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I checked the Grand Comics Database, and the issue you asked about has the first part of a three part story featuring the Penguin!. Batman's popularity was high enough in 1990 to warrent two issue a month in the summer, with a crossover to an issue of Detective comics for the second chapter of the mini-epic!. I'll admit I haven't read the three part story, probably because I can't stand the Penguin, but I do vaguely remember Harold, who is introduced in the three-part story because he became a regular member of the Batman cast for a year or so!.

Realistically, if you want to read Batman #448, you may as well also buy copies of Batman #449 and Detective Comics #615, so you can read the complete storyarc!. Don't worry about there being any gore in an part of the storyarc; gore wasn't a feature in DC stories from that era!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
