I think that the first anime i watched comes between, DBZ, Sailormoon, or Yuyu Hakusho. I will go with sailormoon though. lol.
My favorite character in that series was the cool, and awesome, Sailor Jupiter. lol. SHE ROOCKED!

the first anime i ever saw was Inuyasha. My favorite character is Inuyasha and its still my fav. anime ever!
My first one was either Sailor Moon or Pokemon, but I don't remember anything from Sailor Moon, so let's just say Pokemon :D My fave character had to be Pikachu :3
I'm pretty sure it was either Pokemon or Sailor moon.
My favorite character that I liked out of them was Pikachu (Pokemon) and then it would jump between Luna (sailor moon) or Queen Beryl. :D

Hard to say because I recall watching shows like Speed Racer, Kimba the white lion and G-Force when I was a small child without even suspecting they weren't American made.
However, the first anime I really saw and became an anime fan was Sailor Moon. My favorite character? Sailor Tin Nyanko. Gotta love the way she got killed.
Mine was Tenchi Muyo... or was it pokemon... or DBZ? Hmm... well either way it was in the early 90's
