OK i am very confused in the anime naruto why does everyone call the fourth yond!
Question: Yondaime is the term for the Fourth Hokage. I thing Tsunade is Godaime, and the Third, Sarutobi, is Sandaime... I forgot the First and the Second.

thus..Sarutobi Sandaime...Sarutobi is the name and Sandaime means third Hokage...

His name is Minato Namikaze. Although the name yondaime means 4th Hokage.
Here's some information to clear things up:
The 4th Hokage (yondaime) his name is Minato Namikaze.
You can see it be reveled in to scenes that Minato Namikaze is Naruto's father (4th Hokage)
Well there are two scenes in which it happens in. The first one is in chapter 367. It is first disused between Jiraiya and Tsunade,just before Jiraiya was about to leave. Later on in chapter 370 we find out his true name which is Minato Namikaze. Later on in chapter 382 we actually see Naruto's mother and father.
We actually find out who's Naruto's mother is. She is Kushina Uzumaki (うずまき クシナ, Uzumaki Kushina?) is a ninja of the former Land of the Whirlpool.

A lot of previous hokages are referred by their authority. Many refer to Tsunade as Gondaime and Sarutobi as Sandaime.
The other reason is fairly simple. Only a select few know his real name. So far, we've only found out that both Jiraiya and Tsunade know. I don't think many others are included in that circle. So no one can refer to him as Minato when no one knows that that is his name.
They never knew minato personally, so it is more respectful to call him by yondaime. It's his title that proves that he was a great ninja.
As every1 has pointed out Yondaime hokage translates to Fourth Hokage...
But to answer your question the reason why the anime refers to MInato as Yondaime rather than his name is becoz the anime has not yet reached the chapter in which the names of Narutos parents are revealed Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina......there names arent revealed until the conversation between Jiraiya and Tsunade before he goes to fight Pein and this episode is probly will not be for a while.
Also if u remember wen Tsunade became Hokage she told Jiraiya to stop referring to her as Lady Tsunade and call her by her title Hokage...probly why u never saw any1 refer to sandaime Hokage as Sarutobi (except oro who kept calling him sarutobi sensei)
