Why do children like cartoons so much?!
Question: i think its becaue, its something they can do, without having to do anything. they can just sit and watch, and do no kind of work, or anything. i babysit 2 girls, and they are limited to only a couple shows a day. It is usually around snack time, or lunch time, so that all of thier focus isnt only on the television, but also on thier food!

Young children are visually stimulated by bright colours and cartoons happen to have them.
Colourful. Imaginative. Funny
They are written to appeal to children. Animated, colorful, simple, upbeat music.
because they are fun and they can use their imagination,things happen in cartoons that can't happen in rl (ex.people flyer)
it's fun to watch and it's not about the real world which can be ugly and frightening. bright colors, happy characters, what's not to love?
why not they are bright, loud, and funny. I still watch them w/ my kids!
Because it's entertaining for them...

Everyone likes a bit of cartoons
the cartoons are different than what they see in real life so it is interesting to them
When children are developing their brains, they are drawn to bright colorful patterns and animations. Newborns learn to respond to positive long tone noises and brights instead of darks. Cartoons usually talk slow and are bright and make goofy noises. Its all psychology and totally unconscious.
Because it's filled with funny fantasies and the people in cartoons can do pretty much ANYTHING! It lets children escape the reality of having to do chores and stuff! That's what I believe.
The colors, shapes and voices.

I'm an adult and I still love and advantly watch cartoons. To be honest. The writing, action and acting are better than 90% of the live action shows and movies on t.v. But it could be the combination of colors and movement and that a lot of the characters and action are related to a lot of the fantasies that children have, i.e. like having superpowers or having the ability to communicate with animals.
