I thought it was really good. Definitely a whole lot better than I expected. The psychological aspects were . . . amazingly mind blowing.
If Eva was only your second series, I think this is as good a time as ever to watch another classic action anime -

They aren't all exactly the same, but they are within the pyschological genre of anime. You might also wanna check out FLCL or Code Geass: Lelouche of the Rebellion.
