Why did they stop making looney tunes episodes?!

Question: if you are talking about the classic looney tune cartoons and not the many later day spins offs based on them (such as tiny toons, baby looney tunes and the super hero looney tune cartoon) then it's because much of the looney tunes cartoon shows where cartoons made for movie theaters a long time ago.

They stop making those type of cartoons when theaters stop playing things in front of there movies.

The made theatric cartoon shorts from the 30's to the late 60's.

these cartoons get played on tv because they cheap to air (ie the station don't have to pay as much for the tv station doesn't have to pay much for them and WB doesn't have to invest money into making new cartoons) and have stayed popular for a long time.

everyonce in a while they do make a new cartoon short, for example I they did a theatrical short in the late 80s (I think in front of Free Willy) and a short that aired on TV some time in the 90's for Bugs Bunny's "birthday".

but giving that from time to time Warner Brothers tries to use the Looney Tunes characters in new half hour shows maybe some day someone will get the ideal of do a show filled with shorts that once the show ends it's run they can throw them into their other shorts.
