Is Naruto Shippuden only anime or is it also a manga?!
Question: Ok I just got into Naruto recently, and finished watching all the episodes, but a few days ago I found the Naruto Shippuden series. I was wondering, is the series only anime or is there a manga series as well? If so where can I download the manga for free?

Yes. It is true that the Naruto series was first a manga, then later became an anime series too. Anyway, to get to the point, you can view ALL of the Naruto manga chapters here:

The second half of Naruto is titled "Naruto Shippuden," If you did not know, Naruto Shippuden is the second part of Naruto where there has been a two year time skip. They skip two years into the future till where Naruto returns from training with Jiraiya, and Sakura has finished most of her training with Tsunade. And, they kick off the series with a "Save Gaara Arch." In this series, they show almost ALL of the old characters. It shows their new abilities and their new traits. Each of the Konoha Shinobi have grown tremendously. The anime version of Naruto Shipppuden series kicks off on chapter 245:

But in the manga, there is a short "Kakashi Gaiden Arc." If you wanna read it you can. I don't find it to be important, but it definitely kills the boredom. lol. That mini-arc starts at around chapter 239 and ends shortly after at Chapter 244.

I think that it would be easier for someone new, to understand the whole Naruto Shippuden Concept if they finished the Naruto [first part] Series and went straight to the Naruto Shippuden anime version right after. When you are done with all of the episodes that have aired.......you can continue reading the manga again because.....the manga is ahead of the anime [of course.^^] If you were to finish all of the Naruto Shippuden Episodes before any of the new episodes come out, then you would be right around here, at Naruto Chapter 310:

Hurry up and catch up, because the new chapters just finished with the battle between Itachi and Sasuke. The fight of the century. lol. Things may get complicating from here on out, but don't stop watching Naruto because it is just too good to miss out on anything. hehe. I'm VERY disappointed in who won the battle though.

its a manga you can go to onemanga to view it but its developed further than you wanna know. so if you're bent on watching only the series dont read the manga cuz it gets really addictive.
yeah it's a manga, the reason for the name change in the anime was cuz of they're older and it came after 2 whole seasons of fillers. the shippuden parts in the manga is still called Naruto though..
