In what order does the Tenchi Muyo series go???!
Question: Okay, so there's many different series with the name Tenchi Muyo! There's Tenchi Universe, Tenchi GXP and more recently I have discovered that there was a Tenchi Muyo OVA.
On Toonami back when it was aired I remember seeing the storyline of the OVA. Was that really the show, or is Tenchi Universe the true show? Should you watch Tenchi Universe first? Which series is first, it's so confusing!
If so, do you know if Tenchi Universe was ever shown on Toonami before the OVA?
And don't answer with something stupid like "that anime sucks, why do you watch that?". It's the first real anime I was interested in so I'm rather attached to it.

first off Tenchi Muyo! Rho-oki! was the first series, thats the OVA's. it has like 20 ep.
Then the creators decided to make a remake which became Tenchi Universe or Tenchi TV. It has the same sorta timeline and events but some personallities are different and its more of a toonami show ie, more plot driven while Rho-Oki is more charcter driven
Then they made ANOTHER remake and called it Tenchi in Tokyo <-- TOTALLY different from the others not even worth watching in my opinon
ALL 3 were shown on Toonami back in the day
then theres a spinoff called Tenchi GXP
and 3 movies
Tenchi Muyo! the movie: Tenchi in Love
Tenchi the movie 2: Daughter of Darnkess
Tenchi Forever!
the first and last movie are direct continuations of Tenchi Universe. The 2nd follows the OVA's

Tenchi Muyo was the very fist to come on toonami then Tenchi Universe and tenchi in tokyo and Tenchi GXP but that never come on toonami.
