Secondly, I think Yuffie is too much of a loud mouth, maybe she need some attention. I said this because I doubted if she could actually make a good Ninja, but turns out she did. Well, her obvious professionalism and her uktra hyperactive ways.....
I think she might actually have Attention Deficit Disorder because of her over activeness (being a Ninja and being a thief keeps those unstable emotions in balance, and btw, she makes a great job out of a runner with her weapon running vertically up the steel beams)
Anyway, what you mentioned reminds me of Vash, and speaking of Yuffie's cheerfulness as a shield and Vash's cheerfulness and flirting as a shield, I have to tie Vash of Trigun in with Vincent Valentine.
Honestly, I think Vincent is the one having more psychological disorder than anyone else. His relationship with Lucrecia brings his the most pain. It's maddening and unbearably traumatic. (He somewhat got over it but still.....). If anyone in Final Fanatasy VII has been stabbed all over with knives, it's Vince; Anyone who's screaming like crazy, it's Vince, and anyone going mad, it's Vince for sure.
And speaking of Vince, there is Shelke. Remember Yuffie slapped her? [Yuffie's outburst of rage is another sign of her hyperactiveness---> Yu-chan is REACTIVE, hyperactive, and jumpy, and reacts to things around her].
Sakura: Sweetheart, the only person you should ever lay your hand on (slapping) is a pedophile or a pervert.
Anyway, I was reminded of Athrun in a badly made Gundam SEEDS fan video getting slapped multiple times--> actually it is only once, but the fan is just fooling around with the camera---> ('__' ;;) NO funny at all.
# I wouldn't say Shelke and Vincent works since she is just too young for him. But somehow the ending it seemed they're hinting something.....('__' ;;)..due to the shared emotion Shelke had with Lucrecia.
I think Yuffie just need attention---> I think she'll grow up eventually but she needed guidiance, and Vincent should go with her since it seemed there's no way Lucrecia can come out of the Crystal.

In remember that her hometown was destroyed by those blasted Shin-Ra guys. After FF7, her materia was stolen. Near the end of Advent Children, she had some sort of cheerfulness, and in Dirge Of Cerberus, it continued on. And even though Mr. Vincent could have her as a couple, Miss Yuffie is better off with someone else.
