Star Wars (the original or Episode 4 if you prefer) is the greatest movie of all time. Totally changed films as we knew them and without it, Pixar wouldn't even exist.
I love star wars and am a fan of pixar for a different reason.
Star Wars is this great amalgamation of fantasy and science fiction. It contains many great literary devices and has multiple levels of conflict. Plus the extended universe is amazing, when you read the novels and the comic books, Star Wars is such a rich universe.
I like Pixar films as a graphic designer. I'm amazed by the techniques employed by the artists and find Maia (the rendering program used) to be a fantastic tool. They're so visually stunning.
