Death Note suggestions?!


Question: Hi people! im about to start watching Death Note, and i'd just like to know what language should i watch it in? should i watch it in japanese with english subs or the dub version? what version is better? i know dub usually sucks and i watch just about all anime in japanese but....if the dub's better i'll consider watchin it......suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks ^_^

Deafinately in the original Japanese with sub, looks better (mouths match and the voices match their kind of personality), sounds better(I don't know why but in dubs they always pronounce things kinda weird and corny) and the original Jap voices have more expression and it adds more suspense and tension to the story, I don't know for sure, but they might have edited the eps for a younger audience and cut out scenes... But this is just my opinion, so it's up to you! =D

    • When I first started watching it there were only a few dubs made for it. I tried the dubs then watched the whole thing in Japanese.
    I suggest just going for the Japanese because there was quite a few differences in the two versions. Now after watching the whole show in Japanese and hearing their actual voices I remember them in English anyway. I like actually knowing the real voices of the characters as well. It's fully up to what you like though. I just suggest the subbed versions.
    Its great either way.
    umm japanese with english subs its much better
    Japanese with English subs, usually the better dubbers are Animax and FUNimation, etc. but you can only get the original feel of it(especially the intricate twists of Deathnote) in Japanese with English subs(which are more complete and faithful to the original than dubs)

    I would watch Japanese and English Subs. Make a whole lot of a difference. You get the really creepy feeling and experience the story way more :)

    I usulaay like dubbed ones cause i am american but for death note i like the subbed ones cause the dub voices arent that good in death note
