no... you're a little confused... (I hope)
It says that the names of Jirayia and Tsunade were taken from a tale: "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya".... and IN THAT TALE Tsunade marries Jiraiya (IN the TALE)......... not in naruto series

that wuz an idea they scrapped( but dat would be cool)

IDK, wats the hell up with tht pag, but tsunade and jiraiya were
never married, they had feelings and $#!t but weren't married, and in shippuden jiraiya dieS..........JUST THE LET U KNOW

sadly they aren't but they definitely should be!

No, Tsunade and Jiraiya are not married.
>> However their names were taken from a legend in which a Jiraiya and a Tsunade were married.

[Edit] Here's more:

In a corner of The Scroll House in Konoha, we found this old serial legend novel entitled Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari (translated to be The Legend of the Gallant Jiraiya). Apparently, in Japan, the legendary Sannin's names: Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru were not first seen in Naruto. The names originated from The Legend of the Gallant Jiraiya which was written by different hands and published in 43 installments from 1839 to 1868. Here our scribes did a short summary of the story, where we can see the origins of Jiraiya's affinity for Toads, Tsunade and snails and of course, Orochimaru and his Snake summons.... http://narutofever.com/information/books...

Jiraiya, the title character of the Japanese folktale Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari, is a ninja who uses shapeshifting magic to morph into a gigantic toad. The heir of a powerful clan in Kyūshū of the same name, Jiraiya fell in love with Tsunade, a beautiful young princess who masters snail magic. His arch-enemy was his one-time follower, Orochimaru, who mastered snake magic. http:/ /en.wikipedi a.or g/wiki/ Jiraiya <-- 999 error made me break the link up!

nope false information

OK, there are so many things wrong with what you wrote. First, don't EVER trust Wikipedia. People have the right to edit the info on there. Second, if you have read the Naruto anime past the chapter 385, that couldn't happen because Jiraiya...passes.

I don't think so. I have already read until the lasted update manga, and it nevr tell about that. But remember that everything that is said in wikipedia is not 100 % true. So be careful

naw...poor jiraiya got turned down everytime he asked her(he said this when he was dying as one of his biggest failures..along with failing to bring back his friend and failing to save his sensei and his student)..although somehow if jiraiya survives...tsunade is going to marry him

no they werent married their names were just taken from a book whose characters with the same name were married.

i doubt that...cmon people can edit and write stuff on wikipedia...that site doies give information but its given by users only...so most of them crop up weird rumours

I think you just misunderstood the article below.

"The names of Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru come from Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari (児雷也豪傑物語, "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya"). The Tsunade in this story excelled in snail magic and was married to Jiraiya. The name "Tsunade" (綱手) means "mooring rope"."

The Tsunade married to Jiraiya that the article talks about is not pin pointed as the one in Naruto but in Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari. It's just an additional information.

Thank you!
