Answers: Who's best and who's the worst marvel comics writers?

Currently?

I enjoyed Mark Millar's run on Ultimate Fantastic Four and his Fantastic Four run sounds real promising. For me the FF is just boring without Mark Waid but it's not with Millar.

Bendis is great but I can't read Ult. Spider-man without Mark Bagley, he defined what Ultimate Spider-man should look like for being on the book for so long. Immonen got too simple for me.

There's more but I can't think of them. I'm loosing some faith with ed brubaker, talented yes but he's killing and resurrecting characters way too much.
It looked like Foggy Nelson died in prision, turns out he didn't
Red Skull was shot, and return as a different person?
Cap was shot, now it looks like he might be back.
Bucky was resurrected.
Professor Xavier was shot. It seems he may be alive as well.

I don't mind character coming back but sometimes it gets carried away. If Brubaker kills someone in comics, I probably won't worry about it. He;s a good writer but his kill and bring back seems too high to be in such a short time frame.

Stan Lee, of course.

Stan Lee hands down. Dad of the Marvel Universe.

Stan Lee

The late, great Mark Grunenwald is my favorite writer to have worked for Marvel. In many ways, I think Roger Stern may have been the best write has had work for them, and it is a pity he and Marvel eventually came to loggerheads. Marvel has had a wealth of poor writers, especially since the ninties. Ed Brubaker impresses me as the current worst writer, but I'm sure Marvel will eventually find another freelancer who is even worse; Brubaker should have never been put on Captain America and I pray he will be relieved of that position soon.

For quite a while, I've been interested in Brian K. Vaughan.
He's the regular writer for Runaways, plus he did 20 issues of Ultimate X-Men. He's also wrote Mystique, X-Men Icons: Cyclops, X-Men Icons: Chamber, Dr. Strange: The Oath, and several others.

Also, he's the written several episodes for the TV drama LOST.

apart from the obvious, i liked the writer of the deadpool comic series. cant remember the name....joe kelly?
