I think that Death Note is GREAT!!!!!!!!
It isn't comedic in the slightest bit but that series still rocked. lol. And you could watch some of these anime's.

These are like the coolest detective animes along side death note. detective academy is pretty funny. [characters are at least. ^^]

Funny ones eh? Well, Shugo Chara, Fruits Basket, and Ouran High School HOst Club.
Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, Kamichama Karin, Shugo Chara are are really funny!
And they're really awesome!
Well, I would recomend Ranma 1/2!

Nodame Cantabile is a romance-comedy anime. If you like music, then this is perfect! ^.^
I recommend the live action of Nodame Cantabile too. It's really really really good.
And "Clannad" ^.^
Azumanga Daio is really funny and random.
