Why is Death Note so short?!

It could still become one of the best animes. Even though it is over, it gains fans every day. Anyone who doesn't like death note is a fool. I think that after a time, they had to end it, because it was showing how humans cna't hope to go beyond their boundaries, at least not in such a way. Allowing Kira to live would have almost been portraying that humans could meddle in supernatural affairs. At least, that's my opinion. This show kinda shows that then pen is mightier than the sword, but only when you have the death note...you saw what happened to Light when he didn't have it. -laughs insanely- And randomly...who else thinks Light looks like Zach Efron? I do...
what?? how many episods does it have? personally, i like short animes. FLCL and gunslinger girl are short animes and both were really good. glad that death note is not so long.

I know!!!!! It was the frekin best series EVER MADE!!!! I want there to be more (everything went downhill after L died). They are making a second season, but its not going to be anywhere as good as the first. I give the first season a 15/10. The second season will only get a 10/10. lol.
what a good question but, think about it if it had gone on it would have went no where fast

any wayz the anime is good the ending made sense it's always the best if the main actor dies

Well I agree that Death Note is AWESUM! 8D
But with an anime like Death Note, filled with dialoge, it would seem to drag on to many of the viewers. Some people even complain about it being to long and draging on with just the episodes we have now (those people are getting on my last nerve ><).

Heh. I loved the series. I personally think it was just the right length. Any longer, it would have just been filler episodes like Naruto. It would be amazing if they made another season of it. I would totally watch it.
