hmm. that's a very hard question. i'd have to say Naruto, Jiraiya or Edward Elric.
Naruto's got that strong determination that i don't have. i'd definitely look up to him a lot! he never gives up! i love guys who are like that. who are so determined to do something and make something happen, yet he is very humorous and cute! you can't be able to live around saske..who always seems "depressed". he'd probably be abusive in a relationship. hahaha. but naruto would forever protect you and be the kindest guy!
Jiraiya-he's just really laid back and easy going, but he's so wise and strong! he's like an older version of naruto...but not really..lol
Edward-wow. he is one sizzlin hottie. he's sooo NICE. he's extremely gentle to everyone he loves. he's protective, he's brotherly, determined like naruto. lives for a dream/goal to return his brother and himself normal, but mostly his brother. and of all his seriousness, he is the funniest guy ever cause he hates when people call him short or even say the word "shrimp" haha i love him!

Partly cos i used to hate her with Passion ;). But i think she has grown a lot and is quite an inspiring character, she shows that she can come up from the underdog, little annoying child, to a strong professional woman who can hold her ground. She has almost given up her girly crush on sasuke but instead wants to protect all the people close to her. I think there is a bit of every girl who can relate to that.
My favorite anime character has to be Kenshin Himura. I have done things in my past that I am not proud of but I am making up for them now like he is trying to do in Rurouni Kenshin. After seeing Naruto, I really like Kakashi Hatake because he is mysterious, knowledgeable, powerful, and he would risk his life for others. Now as far as bad boy types, I have to say Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho. I like his attitude and he is funny as well. Yusuke Uremeshi from Yu Yu Hakusho, I like his smart remarks and sense of humor(like Inuyasha). The person that I really like is Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho because he is so intelligent. Now as far as family bonds, I have to say Elric and Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist. They really stick together like family should. ^_^

I love Genjo Sanzo from Saiyuki! I can't really put my finger on it, but he's so cute when he's cranky......and he's always cranky! There is something about that gun-toting, chain-smoking, foul-mouthed, meat-eating, chain-smoking, binge-drinking, purple-eyed monk that I just love! He's got such a foul temper at times, but that doesn't stop him from being my favorite anime character in my favorite anime series!
