I don't believe there is a "turtle monster" in any of the Godzilla films. There is, however, a character called Gamara who was the star of his own Japanese film series. Gamara was, essentially, a giant saber-toothed flying atomic turtle, and he was a friend to children everywhere. Perhaps if you heard a few bars of "The Gamara March," you might recall that Gamara has no relationship to Godzilla. Or perhaps you wouldn't.
