"Aishiteruze Baby" is really cute!!
If you've never seen Ranma 1/2, you owe it to
yourself to check it out. It starts off silly, and gets
progressively sillier with every new season. Yet,
despite the fact that it is a comedy at heart, it
can still get serious when it needs to. This is
one of those must-see classics that anyone who
considers themselves an anime fan should take
in at some point. Yes, this is the one about a
male martial artist who's cursed into changing into
a girl when splashed with cold water, and his
rather tomboyish "fiance", who'd rather kill him
than kiss him. Still, there are plenty of warm
moments between them.
A more recent one along similar lines is School
Rumble. It starts out with this girl who likes this
rather zombie-ish guy in her class, and her
hilarious attempts at trying to get his attention.
It continues with a dropout who drops back
into class, because he happens to be head
over heels for this same girl, and is having his
own misadventures trying to get her attention.
But it builds up beyond these simple gags
as it goes on. The latest volume has only
just been released in Region 1.
