How many people realize that Betty Boop is a hooker?!

Question: Actually, Betty is a virgin. Her original cartoons were all about her attempts to stave off the advances of lecherous men. At the end of each toon, she would sing about how she still has her 'boop oop dee-oop boop', which was a metaphor for her virginity.

This aspect of her personality was spoofed in the film 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', in which she sings the line to Eddie Valiant. He replies sheepishly that "yeah, you've still got it", suggesting that she should have 'given it up' ages ago.

who would really care.......she is cartoon character ...

haha yea she is!!!

Never heard that she was meant to be a hooker. She was a "flapper" and perpetually sixteen (the age the animator made her to be) -- but her being a hooker is news to me. She was drawn very sexually and as a "full woman" whereas no other cartoons were at the time , however, that doesn't make her character a "hooker."

**add**
She actually started out as half dog, half woman (a dog's head) and then the animators later decided to make her just a woman. Although men lusted after her and she appeared very sexual onscreen, she kept her virtue throughout her cartoons.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, little Human.
