Question: need a new anime.
i LOVE shojo animes like,
Chobits
DN Angel
Fruits Basket
But i don't mind shounen animes as long as they have a little romance in them.
I also like like Elfen Lied which can be under shojo and horror.
I just finished Serial Experiments Lain. I don't mind this type.
It also has to be funny and has to have good character design.
It also has to have a good plot and lovable characters.
I also like the work by CLAMP and MADHOUSE.

[Edit] Oo, I really enjoyed CardCaptor Sakura an anime made by CLAMP -- it was amazing cause it contained action, comedy and romance all slapped into one. I absolutely loved this anime :)

Excel Saga. Its crazy and so random.
Lucky Star is random, but cute.
Sounds like you would enjoy the Tenchi Muyo! series's. But I would say away from GXP. I wasn't crazy about that one.
If you like romance I strongly recomend "Lovely complex", "Full moon wo sagashite" and "Bokura ga ita".I'm noit into romance very much but I really really loved these 3 anime.
Also I advise you to check out www.anime-planet.com.It's a very cool site.you write down the name of the anime you have watched and they give you a list of similar anime.isn't that cool?
ok well first just let me inform you that Elfen Lied is NOT under any circumstances NOT a shojo anime (even though it is a really good anime) but if you’re looking for a good shojo anime try Ouran High School Host Club, Ultra Maniac and/or Tokyo Mew Mew
