Actually, Inuyasha is still very popular.
The Original Manga is in its final volume.
As for the franchise, well it's surely a probability that the concluding movie or anime series is in the works.
You gotta understand, the artist that created the Inuyasha is getting rather elderly. She still loves Inuyasha, but she's got other things in the works as well as her own life.
She won't live forever sweetie.

inuyasha is made in japan. when people watch it on us tv us companies profit in japan if no one watches inuyasha no one watches commercials which means inuyasha dont get sponsored

I used to be able to find it at Best Buy. You might want to try a place that buys and sells movies. Hey, there's always ebay.
although ppl seem to believe this but anime is not always made for export, they care about weather an anime does well in Japan rather than anywhere else.
