Wasn't Itachi's death soooooo sad?!?!?! I never knew how I would react, and when I found out he died from someone who posted a question because I don't read the manga much, but my sister does and she showed me the last few pages, and when he poked his forhead like he used to when they were little!!! I cried on the spot >.< I like him now, god I always knew he wasn't as bad as he was portrayed but...jeeze....yah, I needed to get this off my chest!

Back to the question.
This chapter made me wonder if Itachi is really a bad guy. He was like, "Mwahahaha I'm gonna take ur eyez!! >:D" but it was only in front of Sasuke, in a genjutsu. Zetsu didn't even see it coming and only saw his "cool" side.
But yeah, I actually almost cried seeing the last motion he did before he collapsed. Like, he actually did care about Sasuke after all the things he said and did. Plus, there are many theories that suggested that Itachi merely wanted to protect (?) Sasuke or suggest something so that Sasuke could defeat Madara.
- Yes, we never see Itachi actually killed anyone during the Uchiha Clan massacre.... maybe his parents.
- And yes, we never actually see Itachi kill anyone that interfered when he was about to catch Naruto. Tsukuyomi, then left.
- Plus he always seem to actually "slow down" when it's about catching Naruto. Too many reasons he would give so that they would postpone the plan.
- And also, instead of catching Naruto when the opportunity is right in front of him, he merely wanted to talk..... and what was the smile he gave when Naruto said he'd be a better brother for Sasuke?
Okay, I should stop rambling. *goes off searching for suitable sad Naruto BGM to portray Itachi's.... defeat and cry*

Yeah I used to hate Itachi, but even for me that was a little sad.
Man, I mean it is the same thing he used to do when they were little! But, the battle has to end anyways, and Sasuke has to win, thats how it goes, becuz Itachi just too evil!
The only reason he let Sasuke live was to take his eyes! So don't think Itachi as an angel either.
But maybe he was not as bad as I thought, but he is still an villian in my opinion.
actually it kind of reminded me of the flashbacks to when sasuke was a little kid and before itachi wiped out the whole uchiha clan and the relationship they had back then.
I really don't think he is dead. If he was , Sasuke no longer has any purpose to live anymore. If he was dead, what will Sasuke do now? I don't think will willingly go back to the village. I would say that someone will rescue Itachi in the next chapter or something.
