i dun tink a ninja knows everything, but they probably know their surroundings very well. i mean they are afterall trained to be super alert in places where they are

Ninjas are glamorized and dramatized by popular culture. They're made out to be more than human, magic wielding super beings. The ninjas of today's pop culture are almost nothing like the way real ninjas were.
Real ninjas were mercenaries. They killed, stole and spied for money.

As Fear Evolved has explained, ninjas in anime and manga are more or less glamorized and nothing like the real ninjas of ages past. We glamorize them to make them seem more desirable, possessing of super-human powers, etc, etc. People in anime such as Naruto, Samurai Deeper Kyo, probably do think ninjas know everything. They have to know a lot to be able to survive in their surroundings. As for the real ninjas of ages past, who knows. Being as they ere stealthy, able to be in and out in a flash, perhaps the people back then did think they knew everything. They also probably had to know a lot in order to survive. It was survive or die .
