because comics is shorter and it's kinda hard to say the longer first then the shorter, so it's the shorter and then the longer because it's easier that way : )

Comics & Animation sounds better, it "rolls off the tongue" easier, might be easier to say.
Maybe the lesser syllable words usually go in front of the longer syllable words: comics - 2 syl; annimation - 4 syl.
The "printed word" has been around much longer than animation. Yes, there is animation IN comics, but it's the moving animation I'm talking about - the cartoons, the anime. Books have been around much longer than cartoon animation, so maybe that's why Yahoo! named this section Comics & Animation.

It wouldn't make sense because the anime is more detailed than the comic so I guess that's why they did it.

cuz its sounds smoother when you say comics and animation then to say animation and comics.
because then the apperivation would be AC
and AC already exists and would confuse people
so CA is alot easier and no one cares about California
