What anime should I watch next?!
Question: I've seen a lot of anime, but lately I haven't found anything new. Can you give me a few suggestions, and maybe a storyline too, to an anime that you think is really good? Ive seen most of the popular ones, I like watching subbed but if it's dubbed good I'll watch it.

Here are some animes. Below I've listed one or two places you can find and watch them. If I knew if it was subbed or dubbed off the top of my head, then I added that as well.
Lovely Complex-A very, very cute and romantic anime about a very tall girl and a very short boy. This anime is hilarious at times and has moments that just make you want to cheer from happiness. The relationship between the two main characters is complex and interesting and realistic and enjoyable to watch.

Peach Girl-I have not seen the anime for this, but I read the manga and loved it. A typical love triangle story, but with the added bonus of a main character who's self concious about her tan skin and light hair, an absolutely horrible best friend, and one of my personal favorite anime/manga guys (Kiley!).

Kare Kano-I did not see the anime, but I really enjoyed the manga. The story of an overachieving perfectionist who meets her match in her new classmate. He seems absolutely perfect on the outside, but soon, both their perfect facades begin to fade as they discover each other's true selves. Very cute and romantic :).

Marmalade Boy-This anime is longer, but cute. The story of a girl who falls for her new step-brother. There are tons of characters and love triangles and lots of side relationships so you're never quite bored. I'd recommend this. It's also really fun to see the absolutely horrendous outfits the main girl wears.

Chobits-This anime has elements of sci-fi and magic, but the overall premise is romance and comedy. Hideki, your typical anime cram-school-pervert, finds a persecom (like a robot) on the side of the road one day and decides to keep it. The persecom's name is Chi. It's the story of Hideki and Chi's relationship, as they struggle with the question of whether they can truly be together and as they begin to discover more about Chi's past. Very good and cute.

Ai Yori Aoshi-The story of the romance between Kaoru and Aoi, two childhood friends who promised to marry. Aoi, a shy. quiet girl, seeks Kaoru, a surprisingly decent guy, out and they begin a romance. But soon, due to a bunch of circumstances that I can't remember, they have to move into a giant house with lots of other girls lodging in it, turning the anime into a harem. What I like about this is how Kaoru isn't the typical pervert loser you seen in harems.

D.N.Angel-This has elements of magic and fighting. The overall premise isn't romance, but there is romance involved. It's about a boy named Daisuke who, when thinking about his crush, turns into a phantom thief named Dark. The anime deals with his growing relationships between two girls (who happen to be twins with completely opposite personalities) and his fights as Dark. I really enjoyed this anime, and it's not lacking in the romance department.

Hantsuki-A short anime, this is about the relationship between two teenagers in a hospital. It's only 6 episodes, so it's good for killing some time.

Angelic Layer-About a young girl who begins playing this game called Angelic Layer, where people basically have these fights with these...doll robot type things. It's very good. Meanwhile, the main character is dealing with a bit of romance and looking for her estranged mother. I'd recommend this one :). And it's by the same people as Chobits.

Battle Athletes Victory-No romance, but pretty good. Lots of friendship stories. It's a sort of part-sci-fi-part-sports anime about the daughter a great sports legend competing for the same spot her mother won. The first anime I ever saw :). It's pretty good, but not too popular or well-known. There's also quite a lot of comedy in this.

Shakugan no Shana-It's been a while since I've seen it, but if I can remember correctly, it's about this girl who is a Flame Haze, ie she fights these monster things that take people's life forces. When a monster kills someone, the monster steals their existance, so Torches come in and replace the lost existance for a while in a sort of transition period before disappearing altogether and having everyone forget that person existed. Yuji, a high school boy, one day discovers that he is a Torch and that he will be disappearing soon. But what he doesn't know is that he is a special kind of Torch. There's romance between Yuji and Shana (the flamehaze) and definitely action and magic.

Pretear-A magical girl anime that's a reverse harem. It's about this girl who becomes the new Pretear. Basically, her job is to help all these guys who are fighting someone who takes the Leafe (life) out of everything. There's definitely some romance involved too and quite a lot of drama towards the end.

Kanon (2002 version)-This is the story of a boy who returns to the town he used to play in as a child. While there, he encounters all the girls he met back when he was a child and has a strong impact on all of their lives. This anime is very good. It relies heavily on arcs-meaning that it will focus all of its attention on one particular character for about two episodes before moving onto the next character. But it really makes you love all the characters involved. It has some tearjerking parts and romance and quite a lot of drama. There's also some hints of action with one particular arc. Overall, very good. There was a new series made of Kanon in 2006 that was 24 episodes instead of 13. I haven't seen the new one, but it follows the same basic storyline so I'd imagine it's just as good.

Air-This is by the same makers as Kanon. About a boy named Yukito who finds himself in a small town where he meets three girls: the immature Misuzu, energetic Kano, and quiet Minagi. It's the story of Yukito's interactions with these three girls as he searches for a girl with wings in order to free her of an ancient curse. This anime starts off veeery slowly, but trust me, it's well worth it to watch the whole thing just to see the last 5 episodes or so. Like Kanon, each character has their own arc, although the arcs are shorter and the characters virtually disappear after ther arc is complete. This anime made me sob twice while I was watching it-there's hints of romance, some comedy, and obviously a lot of drama. Again, watch this anime if only for the last few episodes (it only lasts 12 episodes).

Love Hina-This is your typical harem anime about a loser guy named Keitaro who comes to live in a house full of girls. Keitaro is a cram student trying to get into Tokyo University so that he can fufill a childhood promise to an unknown girl. But, as the story progresses, he comes across two girls who might be his childhood friend. This anime is pretty funny and cute, with lots of comedy and a bit of romance. The only thing that turned me off of it was the abundance of focus on the girls' rather unaturally large breasts. As a girl, I just thought it was weird.

Ouran High School Host Club-This anime is about a very bright but poor girl, Haruhi, who enrolls in a prestigious school. Due to her frumpy apperance, she is mistaken for a boy on the first day and becomes indebted to the school's all-male host club. In order to pay them back, she must pose as a boy and solicit girls as a member of the club. One of my absolute favorite animes-there's TONS of comedy in this (I laughed out loud at nearly every episode) and has elements of romance. I must warn you, though, this is one of those annoying animes that ends before the manga does so the ending isn't very good. But well-worth watching.

Fruits Basket-A very, very good anime. About an orphaned girl named Tohru who begins living under the same roof as her popular classmate, Yuki Sohma. Soon, Tohru finds out that certain members of the Sohma family

I've watched over 50 different anime series in both english and japanese and these are the best ive seen so far in my opinion.
"The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" - about a girl who, unknown to her, possesses the power to change reality. Its a fun mind twister that will have you thinking from the beginning episode all the way to the end!It is on the top ten of most popular anime in japan.

"Samuri X"-Action packed story about the makeing of the legendary warrior Ruroni Kenshin. Is full of excitment, action and drama that lasts the whole series #1 of the most popular anime shows in japan
"cowboy bebop" - is an american origiated anime show that is about the wild adventures of a space bounty hunter named spike. Its a widely popular anime that premired on adult swim of cartoon network and was an immeditate success.I like this anime because it has a certain wild improving storyline much like another one of my favorites "samuri shamploo".
"chobits" - perverted show at some times. But putting aside that its a great love story about robots in the future that are made to seem like humans but help them with every day tasks. If your into love stories this is the definite anime for you!!! Also has a good begining song =D "oo oo, oo oo yah "

"Elfin Lied"- is definetly a preverted show and comes close to being labled a hente. On the other hand it has a great storyline and you the series never once gets boring. Great anime in general!

"Ichigo 100%" - romance show that has plenty of comedy in it. Its about a high schooler how wants to make movies and basically gets gang-banged by a bunch of girls. lol jk =-P...but its a really fun show and comes second in romances

"Mushi shi"Have only seen the first episode and it was pretty good. also a very popular anime show in japan and is on the top ten.
"Ruroni Kenshin" - Possibly THE most popular samuri based anime show ever and as always, for good reasons. It has a ok storyline with a great mix of action, romance, and humor. This is surly a show that will have you rushing to see the next episode. With its epilouge being The most popular OVA in japan you can only expect great things from this show, and beleive me your expectations will not be disappointed
"Yu-Yu-Hakasho"- show is about a teenage boy who dies saving the life of a young child and is givin a second chance at life as a spirit detective. As a spirit detective the boy must fight evil demons to prevent them from flooding into the human world and ending humanity as we know it. Very good show that has very good character developent in all of the characters which allows the series to be longer while still retaining its excitment and splendor.
"Eureka Seven"-If you like romances with plenty of action this is the definite show for you and probably the best i have ever seen(in terms of action/romance). It's about a young boy (Renton) that falls in love with a mysterious girl that he meets one day when her and her rebel leader have landed to get reparations on their ships. Its a really cool show inspired by modern day surfing(and it dosn't get much cooler that surfing). Good series that keeps the fun going throughout the series. Best romance series ever!!!

"Samuri champloo"- One of my personal favorites and for very good reasons. To start with it is one of the most uniqe types of anime i have ever seen by mixing western hiphop culture into traditional japanese samuri culture coming out with something new to the anime world. It has in my opinion some of the best fighting seens that i have ever seen and even with that it retains its humor and its elegance. It dosnt have a perfect storyline but it adds to the effect that everyting in this anime is improvised. Samuri champloo is most definetly my most recomended.But would also like to say that it is for mature audiences (the official suggested age being 14 and up) do to strong language, and violence

A girl is sucked into a book along with her friend where they meet a boy named tamahome. The girl becomes the priestess of suzaku (one of the 4 gods in the book) and her friend is the priestess of sieriu (another god) they become enemies. Tamahome and the girl travel together to find the suzaku 7 (tamahome is one of them). I dont wanna spoil it for you so ill stop there, but it was really good. I just got done with it today. Its about 52 episodes long but there are also three other ova series that are about 6 episodes long a piece.
