we dont know that yet but im guessing old. total guess around 39 do the way he looks but that would be 390 years old in the world of bleach. he would have to be older than ichigos dads age so older i guess

I don't know how old he is but he is well over 100 because he was exiled from the Soul Society that long ago.

Never has been stated in the anime or manga.
I agree with the person after me, he was the 1st Reseach Captain, but its like a time skip thing that isn't known (example everyone knows the Naruto timeskip bleach hasn't connected the story yet.)
I believe at one point they say he was the original captain of Squad 12, or at the very least the one who turned Squad 12 into a scientific research group. Not that that helps, since I don't think they ever say all 13 squads were formed at the same time.
