Anime random question?!

Question: How come anime characters, like general anime, wear the same outfit everyday? O.o

like they don't get tired of wearing the school uniform all day!!!~
i like the uniforms though ^_^

but still, when it's an anime that's not related to school, they kind of wear the same clothes over and over again, well at least most of the animes i've seen so far =)

lol! good question

i bet it's coz they hav tones of the same thing in their closets XD
[well, they better, otherwise their walking around, doing ninja stuff in filth all day long =_=']

but yea, it WOULD be hard and annoying trying to make different outfits for eachperson T_T

lol, shadow clones maybe? someone can't b stuffed waking up in the morning (shikamaru) so he gets a shadow clones to go in his place for the rest of the week and they're all wearing the same thing as wat he was wearing wen he summond them...?

bahh...i'm outta ideas, they're just comfy and and anime characters barely grow andy way so they can wear them all the time^^

the creators probly got tired of drawing different clothes for the characters

I know! Like Sakura in Naruto! Now don't get me wrong...I hardly EVER watch anime, but I did notice that when I watched it a while back. Ever watched Avatar: The Last Airbender? That was the only anime I ever liked. The avatar guy always wore the same orange outfit...even after it got burnt to pieces by the fire lord! IMO...

Its hard trying to create a new outfit every episode.

Practically- in the real world- it's so we can recognize them.

I personally think that they choose to wear the same thing out of confidence. ( This outfit makes me feel good, so I'm gonna wear it until it doesn't fit anymore. Yeah, you're jealous, I know you are. XD)

EDIT: I got thumbs downed :( How mean. *tear*

cause the drawers r 2 lazy 2 draw some clothes

i know what you mean the wear the same thing over but i guess that the creators get tired of having to give them other clothes

i wonder that every day of my lfe i still havent figured it out also they never age..........

Try drawing a 30 min. anime then making an entire closet for each character. Too tiring, and it may help viewers identify the characters.

It depends on certain Anime background stories:

1. If the story takes place in a school with a mandatory uniform policy. So yeah, they're required the wear the exact same (summer / winter) uniform everyday.

2. If the suit is functional (has lots of pockets :D ). You want to go up to a police man & say, why don't you wear something like a black & white pin-stripes or an orange jump suit? Or going up to a soldier & asking them to dress like bright bold colors instead of camouflage.

3 Simpler for the lazy mangaka / Anime artists, as they want to keep character recognition a top priority.

Though there are plenty of titles that break from the "uniform-look" mold. Just to name 2:
Great Teacher Onizuka (when they're in street clothes, not school uniforms),
School Rumble (same as GTO)

I've always wondered that too. ^^
I don't get it, maybe it's just because the creators don't feel like making tons of new outfits.
I wonder if they have more than one of that outfit...
or if they wear the same one every day. O.O
Hopefully they wash them! XD
Otherwise, they'd be really stinky! >.<
And they never get any older!
What's up with that?!

They're just so cool and their clothes are amazing. Like, Ed Elric's cloak....I'd so wear that everday(I'd wash it everyday, of course) But I guess in some animes, the characters only have 1 outfit since sometimes, they're on a journey and they don't care about their clothes.
And they are more recognizable that way too.
Usually in shojo animes and overall "girly" types of animes the clothes change to go with the gender they are targeted at. Like some girls would like to see fashion embedded in the animes while shonen and action animes and more targeted to the toughness and not many people pay that much attention to the clothing.

It gives them personality and expressis who they are! And also the change of clothes shouldn't get in the way of a good anime, sometimes it can distract! Atleast thats how I see it!

Some anime have the characters wearing different outfits. CLAMP is pretty famous for that. And then there's Loveless, where they change clothes pretty much every episode.

But I do have to point out the fact that American cartoons do the exact same thing.

I think part of it is to make the characters easier to draw and part is to establish a "look" that becomes famous among the fans.

It's part of the image, man! It's part of the image!

XD......

jk imao!!! Nah, I think so it's that you can easily recognize the character, so that next time people everywhere are looking for them and they've gone into hiding, you can spot them and say, "Hey, there he is, Ed! The shorty with the red cloak -"

WHAM!!!!

~beware because the man had sensitive ears XP~

maybe they mean that they wear clothes same styles as the others//hehe

Either the creater just doesn't try I wounder why to I watched a show called Totally Spies their clothes were different every day.

IM WITH HATER

well in some series they do that cause the outfit fits the anime characters personallity. another uniform just, doesnt feel right to them, ya know what i mean?

yeah ive notice that to,i think anime characters have thousands of the same clothes
