yea i do actually i mean when your an adult you should be over it and 16 have a job and car
but the people born in 94 asnd up can't drive alone so it doesn't matter for them

You have to keep in mind that Pokemon is a younger anime.
Most other animes are geared toward people aged 16-18.
Believe me, there are some animes that are not for little kids.

I've seriously meet 40 year olds who love anime!
And take our own CRYBo7 for example, he's 27 (I think) and he still loves anime!
Same with heather w, but I have no idea how old she is. XD
I just know she's older than 32.
Don't be embarrased that you still love anime if your 16 years old. =]

No way there this guy I know who is obsessed with Manga and Anime such as Pokemon and he's in college so relax.
16-18 year olds usually grow out of Pokemon but most people watch anime for their whole life- that includes me!!!! I will love anime forever. But, I guess people can stop if they want to (but who does really?) >.<
Anime is actually aimed for that age group. I mean, seriously, younger kids probably couldn't keep up to DeathNote or be allowd to watch the gore of Bleach.
I'm in that age group 16-18 and I'm cosplaying in 3 weeks with 8 of my anime liking friends. I see no problem with it.
I think it's just fine. I'm 40 years old and I just love my Naruto/Bleach/Blood+ anime.

Sure it may be, to you at least. At first glance, kinda is silly. They're grown-up, getting ready to go to college and going to work, but they still love anime. Anime is really addicting to most of us. After you're done with one anime and you like it, most likely, you'll watch another one. Right? It may take few weeks to finish a 50 episodes anime, or maybe a month. You'll then start watching more and more, for years and years of watching. If you're 14, you may still be addicted to it, even if you watch it for 4 years. 4 years, which you'll be 18, yet you still watch it....
Have you not experience this? The addiction to it? Most of us want to keep watching anime, like for a very long time. You can still see some adults like 30s, who watch anime since they're teen. Some can't seem to get over it.
You'll know what I mean if you look into other's people's point of view. You, most likely, never feel how addicting to it. It can be as addicting to smoking, yet you may hate it since you never EXPERIENCE with it. Try it, maybe you'll see. (i mean try anime, not smoking, cause it's bad for you...) =)
Ever use to hate anime like for example, Naruto? But after you watch it, you can now see how good it is. It may be child-ish, but the storyline and action is really amazing, that it's like nothing you have seen before, like you just discovered something......

Basically, it's addicting... Even if they're only adults, hey, they may still have a mind of a child.... =D
They may still laugh and have fun like most of us do. They may still like movies, cartoons, and other shows like most of us do. Like I said, they still want to be like a child, cause they miss it.... =/

It's not creepy at all. In fact, a majority of anime in Japan is geared at adults instead of kids, since they're not allowed to watch certain things involving real people. I'll let you figure that out on your own...
Anyway, we Americans just think it's weird because we as a culture connect cartoons with youth, but that's not really true. Just look at South Park and all those other cartoons for older people floating around.
As for pokemon, that one's hard for some people (like me) to let go of because a lot of people grew up with it. It's kind of like how my uncle spends all his time playing his old Atari game system. It's what he grew up with. Look at pretty much anyone's greatest obsessions and you'll find that many of them were born from their environments as children. In fact, many of us manga obsessed people of today also grew up with Sailor Moon and My Neighbor Totoro and Digimon. There are some that have been on American TVs even longer, like the shows my Japanese teacher grew up with.
The only time liking anime/cosplaying is at all disturbing is when you go to a con and see a 40-something year old fat man dressed as Faye from Cowboy Beebop. *shivers*
