You don't sound like a real anime fan. Try watching Negima, Gundam Wing, Devil May Cry, DNAngel, Rurouni Kenshin, Trinity Blood, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Neon Genesis: Evangelion, Gundam Seed, Busou Renkin, or Gungrave. Good luck finding an anime you like.

The greatest Anime Ever: Cowboy bebop!!!!! Everyone I talk to likes it, even people who hate anime. The animation is brilliant, with the music being the best aspect. Samurai Champloo, again same reasons (made by same guy.) Outlaw Star is a classic, Trigun is a really good Western/Sci-fi. I like FLCL (Fooly Cooly) its really funny and random. I would say Dragon ball, but.... (Its ten times better than DBZ, stuff actually gets done, and there is very little of the "Goku losing, then near death, then attaining super saiyan, then winning) Its more of Yamcha, Krillin, Master Roshi, you know, the Humans...
