No,but seriously I understand,what you mean of why there are anime haters out there. I can undertsand that everybody doesn't like the same things,and that is understandable,but there is no reason to annonce your opinion on something that you know many people enjoy. There is no reason to come out and say what you thik or feel all the time. If you don'y like something then fine.
I think some haters really don't understand anime,and see it just as anouther cartoon,or somethingto that effetc. Something the anime is childish and/or imature,when in fact it really isn't. Anime is complatated,with many characters,detail,and art work that i pu in the anime,that soul be taken in. Anime is someting that can be seen almost to any age group. There are a larg varity of anime out there. Many animes have content that is suited for adult and other,by a younger audiance. So there is no reason to say it is childsih.
Unlike cartoons orother show anime has a plot to it. Its not just a show that will show random episode because its on there are,or because they are just trying to come up with ideas or something. Anime has there own plot,iwht sub plots as well. Not just for the whole story,but if each character as well.
Not only that,but anime can have action,romance comedy,whatever it is that you like,so there really is something for everyone. So,there really is no reason to be hating something such as anime. If you don't like it thn fine then you don't have to watch it.

People consider anime merely as "childish cartoons" and nothing more. They don't comprehend the fact that anime is much more complex than simple-minded cartoons. And when anime fans try to explain to them that there is a definate plot and many beautiful lessons with mind-blowing art -- they choose to ignore us showing how arrogant they are.
Honestly, I don't mind it if people don't like anime. I mean -- I don't want them to become an anime fan just because "everyone's doing it" - I want a true fan. But what really ticks me is when people are ignorant. I don't make fun of comic books fans, I don't tell the chess club they're a bunch of nerds -- I mean how would they like it if we made fun of their hobbies and considered them as "losers" or "geeks" for whatever they find pleasure in doing.

You know what's worse? Some of the anime haters have never even tried watching anime. They label it "childish" just by glimpsing at it! If you have never tried anything, don't talk smash about! If they don't like anime - they should just keep their trap shut. We don't bug you -- so don't bug us!

[Edit] *?Shadow Mist?* ~[さくら], I think that most anime fans have given up on American cartoons for 2 reasons: First being that they have experienced what a real plot is and secondly, they have been shown amazing art. But don't get me wrong, I do know that not all anime are exceptional and that not all cartoons are superb -- and that goes vice versa as well.

Because anime is a popular and AWESOME thing that lots of different people can enjoy, and the haters just don't understand it. Anime is from Japan, thus is dubbed 'weird' by so many people. Sad, isn't it? And when things like Cartoonnetwork start playing Naruto episodes all dubbed and screwed up, people just have more reason to think it's a stupid cartoon with no depth at all.
I think if the haters actually had started on a clean slate and seen real anime, not dubbed cr@p, I think they would appreciate it much more. Or atleast have a TRUE REASON for disliking it.

Example: At the book sale at my school, some Naruto manga chapters where on sale. To be precise, I think it was #7. Anyway, some kids who've seen Naruto on Cartoonnetwork (I'm sorry if it seems like I keep bashing CN, I just think it sorta ruined Masashi's whole thing for Naruto) where looking at the books, and saw that they read left to right. (Ooo, smart aren't they?) And then they tried to read it, they couldn't, and then started making fun of it, calling it, "Stooopid book!" Oh my god, I was never so mad so fast! I wanted the kill them!
Anyway, that's was basicly just me ranting. But not all anime haters are like that. I know some that are actually pretty cool (for being anime haters and all that ^.~ ) I just wish some would give anime a true chance.

The header on your message certainly implies that all people hate anime, which certainly isn't true. Why didn't you ask "Why doesn't everyone love anime?," since that seems to be what you really want to know.
I don't despise Nippon anime, but I do consider a great deal of the made-for-Japanese-television anime program to be junk (junk, not garbage, junk can be interesting). What I enjoy are some of the Nippon animes that were produced to be shown in movie theaters (e.g. 'Barefoot Gen' and 'Grave of the Fireflies') and I wish there were more appreciation for those fillms, many of which are as good as any classic film from any country. I really think a lot of self-styled anime lovers have missed the boat.

Comics & Animation is populated with anime and manga, which makes a lot of people mad... They wanted to look for comics questions like Superman, Batman, etc, yet what they mostly see is anime/manga questions. Same for people who watches The Simpson, and other American shows. Yeah..... I really want to suggest Yahoo Answers to make 3 sub-categories for C&A sections:
1) Japanese Comics & Animation
2) American Comics & Animation
3) Other Comics & Animation
I did post this suggestion once, and Yahoo staff did review it, yet hasn't comment anything, nor do anything about it.
Basically, Japanese C&A rules over a lot more than American C&A.

I think they're jealous that they don't have something they can love as much as this. Maybe they don't like the little "clique" of anime lovers and are trying to sabotage us. My sister is like that. She constantly bashes me about my anime and is always telling me I'll "grow out of it," just how she "grew out of" Lord of the Rings (even she still has stuff by them).
