Good anime to watch, along my guidelines?!
Question: I wanted to start watching a new anime. I've already watched Trinity Blood. And right now I'm watching and reading the Naruto Shipuudden series as they come out.
My guidelines for a good anime are:
Action
Not a long anime
It can be gory or violent
Sad
No gushy romance
No girly anime
Keeps you guessing

I think you would really enjoy Fullmetal Alchemist. It has great action, an intense storyline that keeps you guessing up until the very end, and only minimal romance. Everyone I've shown it to has cried real live tears during a number of episodes - and not all of them were anime fans. It's just really good.
I think you might also like Vampire Hunter D, and Berserk.
death note , fits everything..well ther eis a stripperlike girl who likes the main character but he shows no interest in her so far . so no romance .

blood+ sound up ur ally althoug hat the end there's a kiss, but thats it plus its a gory scene the guy supposidly dies right after he kisses her by being squashed so yeah. Lots of blood, sword fights, the swords person is a girl but she weilds it like a skilled shinigami (Refering to bleach if u have not seen it...actually that one u'd probably like 2 but i didnt recommend it because it's wicked long like 164+ it still hasnt ended yet but its really interesting) And actualy it's some wat simular to trinity blood. Oh and this point should really make u consider it, no girly girls prancing around in rainbow colored outfits, the girl in it isnt even that girly...at all.
Death Note. No doubt. 2 genius guys against each other basically. The first episode will get you HOOKED. It's a mind game, but TONS of killing. It's also fairly short. The manga goes over 100 i think and there are about 40 episodes.
I'd reccomend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann for abosolute action epicness, and Code Geass for action with the whole Genius VS. Genius thing going on. Enjoy. :D
Deathnote
Elfen Lied is only 13 episodes very gory, very sad
also try 666satan its a manga aq lot like naruto... give it a go! =P
Fullmetal Alchemist, Blood+, Deathnote...and Ergo Proxy is a bit dark, but it's pretty cool.
Deathnote, It always keeps you guessing and isn't long, and has some action. Also Bleach sounds like its for you but its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... long
Naruto is ReAlLy long, but it fits the rest of the things you said.

Kyo Kara Maoh!
It's about a boy who gets "flushed" down a toliet into another world. Once there people try to tell him he's their Demon King. Filled with sword and magic fights and REALLY FUNNY!! It is a little long NOT as long as Naruto (only has around 70 or 80 episodes).
