Are these mangas any good?!

Question: Shakugan no Shana and Black Cat?

Do you enjoy them? I'm fresh out of manga for now, and as stupid as it may be, I'm looking to add more to my mind to confuse me.

If you think either one is really good, could you just summarize it/them for me really quickly?

Thanks! Help is much appreciated.

I'm Shakugan no Shana fan, but I only read the first few pages of the manga. I heard that most people like the anime a lot better, not the other way around. I agree with them after reading couple of pages. Plus, it only has 4 volumes, and 18 Light Novels, and the anime is WAY far ahead than the manga.

Black Cat sounds like a better manga after I did do some research. It has 20 volumes and the storyline is like as good as Shakugan no Shana (in my opinion). However, Black Cat isn't much of romance and it's shonen, not shojo.

I think Black Cat is better for you, even though I'm Shakugan no Shana fan. =(

Summary of Shakugan no Shana:
Yuji is an ordinary high-school boy who expects his life to be normal and the same forever. However, one day, he met a monster (not really monster, but you'll find out) and also a girl who was called Red-Hair-Hot-Eye Hunter. She slayed any evil monster trying to destroy the world. The reason the monster attack Yuji first is because he carried something really valuable inside him (it's fantasy) and wanted to take it. Because of this, the girl hunter has to keep her eyes on him and stay with him (even in his home and school). As the story goes on, they both start to know more about each other, and also start liking each other more... =D

Look at other people answer since I never read/watch Black Cat. ^_~

Shakugan no Shana only has 10 chapters and then they started to make it into a novel and they discontinued the manga (sob) but the first 10 chapters are pretty good and Black Cat is awesome...you should watch the anime too......it's funny but it still has a lot of action and gun fights and stuff >.<

    black cat is good
    but i've never red shakugen
people say that its good though

black cat is about a secret organization Chronos, that rules one third of the world's economy through underground control of almost every kind of business. To maintain the balance of the world, Chronos is essential, and therefore, there is the need to have people to protect Chronos. Besides all normal erasers, there are special elite assassins with Orihalcon-made weapons called the Chrono Numbers. Chrono Numbers have their numbers engraved on their body and their weapon. There were twelve total Chrono Numbers, but when Train Heartnet, an unsurpassable shooter, decided to join Chronos in their cause, the number XIII was founded. No one that was targeted by Train Heartnet, also known as Black Cat, for bringing "bad luck", and his extremely quick movements and attacks, ever survived. The name Black Cat was the most feared among assassins.

I watched about 13 episodes of black cat and about 5 of shakugan no shana. I thought they were pretty good.
In black cat, theres this guy named train heartnet and he's a legendary assassin for this organization I forget what their purpose is but anyway he starts to think it's wrong to kill people and decides to leave the organization, at the same time his peer, or friend, or something I forget anyway this guy decides to betray the organization at the same time that train decides to leave and start his own organization but his is to conquer the world or something. Anyway the organization can't let it's agents leave so they're out to kill train and the other guy and the other guy is trying to recruit train so enemies come his way from that guy also and some other stuff happens anyway It's pretty good

In shakugan no shana... It's hard to explain. It's like there are these monsters that eat people and this girl with a sword stops them and then like the people that the monster eats are replaced by like dolls called "flames" to lessen the impact of their sudden dissapearance from the world until they fade away. The main character is one of these flames, and he has like a treasure inside of him or something. If you watch the first three episodes at least it'll explain everything way better than I can form memory.

Try Black Cat I've seen the anime once and it was pretty good.

    kind of

    black cat is awesome.
