Anyone remember a cartoon from the 80s about a unicorn and brother and sister?!
Question: Ok, I know this is probably a lost cause but I am trying to remember this movie. It has a brother and sister in it, and this little animal that can transform into a unicorn. There was also a maze of some kind... the unicorn couldn't save the brother and sister in time and a witch(?) turned them into pink and blue blocks...I think. It was made in the anime style and I watched it in the 80s but I am not sure exactly when it was made. PLEASE HELP! It's driving me crazy.

i might be wrong....but it sounds like it could be unico (which i watched when i was little)
---unico is about a little unicorn that has to leave so the wind (who looks like a woman) takes him to another land to save him from death. There were two movies (that i know of) and in one there was a witch (a guy witch) who was going around turning animals and then people into toys and puppets (he does turn a few into colorful little blocks, i think). The brother (Tobi) was his apprentice and when they go to turn the humans into puppets they went to Tobi's house and he had to turn his own family into puppets, but he does try to save his sister. Close to the end unico transforms into a full unicorn.
the other movie is about a girl witch, Katie the cat (but i don't think anyone gets turned into colorful blocks in that one)
let me know if i was wrong or right because im not going to be able to quit thinking about it now....

i dont think it could also be the last unicorn because i dont remember anyone getting turned into pink or blue blocks and also the transforming unicorn was a girl/woman and not a little animal (unico was a little animal with a unicorn horn and he transforms into a full sized unicorn at the end)

it sounds like The Last Unicorn my sister used to watch it when she was little and that sounds a lot like it!

Why are people saying The Last Unicorn?
There wasn't a brother or sister in the movie, the only witch I can think of was Mommy Fortuna although she's only in the movie for a short while and doesn't turn anyone into pink and blue blocks, and the unicorn is always a unicorn, she's not a "little animal that can transform into a unicorn." The only similar thing I can find between the description provided and the movie The Last Unicorn is that they both have unicorns and are anime-styled... it's not The Last Unicorn, trust me. =]
