There are a few animes coming out Spring 2008 that I highly anticipate and they are:
- Vampire Knight
April 2008
Based on the very popular shoujo manga. ^_^
- Macross Frontier
March 2008
Episode 1 is actually out sometime ago as a teaser.
- Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 (Season 2)
April 2008
Be sure to watch season 1. It has 25 episodes and it's fairly new. It ran from Oct '06-July '07.
As for anime in Winter 2008 would be:
- Hatenkou Yugi
I've seen few episodes. Pretty interesting.

Funny!
- Persona Trinity Soul
I was way excited for this since it carries a psychological theme but the pace is so dog on slow!!!!
Then Winter 2008 anime I havent seen:

- Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino (Season 2 of Gunslinger Girl)
- H20 -Footprints in the Sand-
- Hakaba Kitarou
- Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de

If you want specific anime recs, add more details to your question. If I were you I'd just check out all the anime this season, just look at the plot, genres, etc and see if they interest you at all. And it's not too early to start deciding what you want to watch for spring, that way if you really want to see Code Geass R2 or something you can start and finish watching the first season so you can participate in discussions and things like that while R2 airs.

Hm not all that sure. All I know is that I can't wait for Vampire Knight to come out! I recommend looking out for that anime when it comes out. If you want you can just start reading the manga, it is really good ^^
